An essential API for your Android smartphone
The Google Services Framework is an application program interface (API) that is part of the services that are included in the Android mobile operating system. This utility is an essential component in the core functionalities that the OS is capable of. The Services Framework, in particular, is used to manage and update the various apps made by Google, as well as any application or game that is downloaded from the Google Play Store.
What is the Google Services Framework for?
As mentioned, the Google Services Framework is an important component in managing the apps that Google includes in its mobile operating system, Android. Some of these essential applications include the Play Store, Accounts Manager, Contacts Sync, and Backup just to name a few. There are the same programs that come as standard in Android smartphones, as well. Thus, if your device has these installed but doesn't have the Services Framework API, it won't function properly.
While the scenario mentioned above is rare nowadays, there are instances when it can happen. This can be attributed to the very nature of the mobile OS itself. The Android operating system is open-source, meaning any person or company can install and use it on their devices. Complications arise when their device is not intended or optimized to be used with Android, or it's not officially available in their region—as is the case in some parts of Asia.
Given some basic knowledge, you can install this API on any Android device. Do note, however, that this does not guarantee that your device will work properly as there are other factors involved. For one, there is the matter of whether or not Google Services are even officially supported in your region. There is the question of the smartphone hardware itself which, depending on the parts used, might not be supported by the Google API, as well.

Google Service Framework is something that every Android smartphone needs in order to work properly. If your device does not have this or you need to update it manually, then, this is a must-download for you. If Google Services is not officially supported in your region or you're using obscure hardware, this is still worth considering. Just be aware that it's not guaranteed to work fully.
